Men of the City – (MOTC)
Description
For men, it all starts here. This is a place for men of Substance and from all over the city to get together, talk, grow, mature, and become leaders. Our main purpose is to make ministers out of spectators and S.P.A.C.E out of strangers. We have a weekly meeting that rotates between large and small groups. When we meet in large groups, we play dodgeball, volleyball and other activities while someone mans the grill. Our small groups happen in living rooms across the city. This is a great opportunity for men to get together on a more personal level with the goal of finding accountability groups (SPACE). Women’s Book Discussion Group will be taking a break until September. We will begin on Sept. 9th with the book To Be Told by Dan Allender. It is a book to help you make sense of your life and help you discover the role God is giving you in His Story. We will come together to discuss the book, share our stories with each other, and learn how to improve on sharing our stories with others, possibly by writing books of our own. I, (Jeanette) have books available for $10 if interested in reading ahead. For the summer, some of us will get together occasionally for fellowship. If interested, send us an e-mail.
